    700r4 into 91 camaro carburetor

     



    hello all, thanks for lookin, 350 +60 world product heads roller rockers air gap holley 650dp headers exhaust lunati voodoo cam bout 365hp 3.73-1 posi 10bolt, had it hooked to a th350 i just bought a 700r4 30 spline 2600 stahl and basicly all im askin is does anyone have any advice for the swap??? ive heard how importent the tv cable adjustment is. any suggestions. any info is very appreciated. thank you!

    I agree, get the adjustment right the first time or that trans will be toast.

    I believe Lokar makes bracketry to make the cable adjustment a snap. Mounts to the carb base I think. Of course I am sure you can come up with some GM that has the brackets too. If you look in the Summit catalog TCI sells some controllers to control the lockup function of the converter too. Eliminates the need for the stock computer.

    A 700R4 doesn't use a computer to control shifting, etc. Its replacement, the 4L60E does. For the 700R4, it's all in the TV cable. Also, you can control lockup in the lower gears with a simple switch and relay.
