    700R4 Ecm controlled or not?

1992 4X4 Chevy 700r4/ floor shift Transfer case.

Is this a Ecm controlled trans(how do I ID) AND Can I convert to a "stand alone" trans with manual lockup?

Reason I'm askin: Converting from tbi to carb.

Thanks for any info you can give.

The 700R4 is not controlled by the ECM. The only thing the ECM controls is the lock up of the converter. Now if you have a 4L60E then it is computer controlled.
