th350 3rd gear problems

hello, i apprecaite any help. ok here we go, i have a sbc w about 375hp a th350 3200 stahl n to be honest dont knlow everything about it, it was rebuilt i was told about 10,000 miles ago it has been behind a cple mild 350's, everything has been fine for about 2 years shifts great untill i shifted from 2nd to 3rd and it just rev'd up and didnt go anywhere. if i leave a light slowly it will shift great from 1st to 2nd but when it goes it shift into third it revs up slightly thern grad grabs n if ur just crusing it drfives fine. but if ur at say 45mph and u hit it (bout half throt) it just rev's and u can feel the load not hit the ground. any help is awsome and greatly appreciated!!

direct was not dual fed and or clearanced properly so it slipped a little each time till now all it wants to do is slip. Drop the pan. Check for discolored,foul smelling fluid,dark color,clutch pack fibres. A wee bit of fibres is OK though

You don't even have to pull the pan. Just pull out the dipstick and smell it. If it is burned up, the fluid will have a burned smell. Also, the fluid will be a burnt brown color.

Ya,I was just thinking it may be good to see the amount of fragmentation in pan,but burnt is burnt your right
