    th350 mount

i am putting my 350/ th350 in a 86 z28. the th350 is a short shaft and i am already getting a different driveshaft. my next problem is the transmission mount from the 86 z 700r will not bolt up to the the th350. i have changed the tailpiece but the old mount is too short. it needs to 26" long. does anyone know where i can get a mount that matches or how to make one. thanks

transmission mount should have a few places it can mount. or you should be able to drill new holes and reposition it as needed
You don't know what you've got til it's gone

it has to be moved towards the rear of the car. the z's frame bends out before that point so i need the mount to be about 2 inches longer.

what about the junk yard, adapt one from a earlier camaro that came with the th350. Or get a universal, my weld in one was 40$ and it's slick, made by comp engineering sold in summit. basically just a remuvable bar/tube with a pad welded for the tranny mount.

You need to buy a universal Trans Mount Like the Poly Type they sell . You will have to Move your Crossmember Forward . And you will need this part to hook up the Torque Arm . http://www.jegs.com/i/B%26amp%3BM/130/30299/10002/-1

    On the 700R4 (C) is 22 1/2" (A) 30 3/4"

    On the TH350 (C) is 20 9/16" (A) short shaft is 25 23/64"
