    700R4 27 and 30 spline

Does anyone know what year the 700R4 had the 27 spline shaft and what year they started with the 30 spline shaft ? I have a 1990 700r4 installed in my car and do not know which spline I have. I want to order the correct one before I remove the trans so I can change it over the weekend.

A 1990 will be 30 spline. I believe '88 or '89 was the switch over year.

Thanks Keith, Here's another question, if you were going to change your torque converter who would you use? B&M, TCI, Hughs etc.

I bought a Bowtie Overdrives 2200 stall. They are located down your way.
