    th 350 problem

Hello I have a 1979 Chevy 3/4 pickup with a TH350. Whats going on is first off when I put the pedal to the floor it doesn't drop down and get power like it should it just gradually gets up to speed. And the other problem is when it shifts it is fine from 1-2 then it almost instantly sounds like it goes into 3rd but, when at highway speeds its like your still in second and being at 3k rpm at 60mph is not good.

Sounds like the kick down cable is not hook up, or the cable broke.
