    Setting shifter stops?

The T5 tranny I have came with a Hurst shifter with the bolt stops. I was warned by Mike Fortes, in another thread to make sure these stop don't fall out of adjustment, and to use locktite on the bolts.

What is the correct procedure for setting these stops in the right place from the get do?

    Thanks!

Is there a rule of thumb to this procedure, or did I just ask a dumb question??
