Will a C6 trans. fit a foxbody mustang?

I have a Ford 302 with a C6 trans already on it from a truck and want to put it in a 91 Mustang. Does anyone know if it will fit the trans. tunnel and trans. mount? Thanks for any help. Jerry.

I dont know about the tranny mount, but it will fit the tunnel. Ive got a 429 with a C-6 with a factory tunnel, 1980 fox body.

My standard answer is that with a Sawzall, good hand grinder, MIG and a blue-tip wrench, ANYTHING will fit ANYTHING.

Sometimes you have to grind the bellhousing ribs down a little on the top of the C6 and take a sledge hammer to the top of the tunnel, right at the peak where the ribs lay, but it will go. You just hammer it up a little for clearance. The small block C6 is somewhat more compact than the big block version, so it may go in without the grinding/hammering routine. I only know about putting a 460 in a Fox.

It will be tight but it should fit.
If your trying to make H.P. the C - 4 is a better choice,
    the C - 6 will rob H.P. from the 302.
