In a light car and not a lot of powershifts with slicks on, the lighter 5 speeds hold up surprisingly well..... And, as cheap as they are just by 3 and when they all break you'll have parts to build one, and lots of spares!!!!! Build a little slip into the clutch like with a stock type clutch disc and it should work ok as long as the tranny is in good condition to start with....
The lighter units won't stand up to much drag racing, but for just street use they work good.....
