The transmission is a regular 3 speed, it uses gear oil, 90wt or whatever. The fluid coupler has its own oil, auto trans fluid works in it.

I had a 50 chrysler with the fluid drive and its a neat trans but can be a little slugish taking off using it like a automatic,if I were to get another fluid drive mopar I would get the 3 speed parts from a plymouth and put a T-5 behind the six. Jeff
