    Transmission ?

Installing the motor and tranny in the chassis. The motor and tranny are parallel with the frame which has a rake, however with the rake of the frame it puts motor and tranny at an angle.

My concerns are the angle of tranny pan which is 6 degrees or approximately 1 inches from front to back in height difference. Will this cause problems with the pump?

My concern would be, how does it line up with the rear end?

I'm no expert maybe someone will disagree with me but I put a lift kit in my Jeep TJ a couple of years ago and it required me to drop the rear of the transfer case 1". It's been running fine since so I don't see why yours would be a problem.

Another concern, if the motor has a carburetor, is the mounting pad level with the chassis at ride height?

That's the main concern!!!! Get the carb pad level first, then adjust engine and trans height.... You can get a wedge shaped carb spacer if it's absolutely essential, but IMO as ceh mentioned, the preferred method is to get the carb pad level!!!

The intake is level, but the transmission sits at an angle. As far as the the drive shaft it will have a slight angle. I have had more servere angles on a drive shaft on a jeep and didnt run into problems.

I will try and get a picture of it so everyone can see and comment.

Mine has a lil' lean toward the front too.

Still building so I don't have any issues yet. My intake is down 1° from level in front. it's a slight uphill shot to the rear end with the pinion centerline @ 12.75" & the crank centerline @ 11''. I don't remember if I had a jack under the rear end when I took this pic. but the trans pan has a definite lean to the front regardless.

Looks alright to me. As long as the pinion angle is O.K., should be fine.
