    transmission choices

     



    what are some possible manual swaps i can do for my camaro with a big block with around 400-500 ftlbs, i do have a pretty limited budget but im really DIY oriented

    Depends on the engine power and the output... The TKO 600's will take a bit of a pounding, but are around $2k. I have seen some used T-10's around, they will also hold together fairly well and can be bought fairly reasonable and not too tough to fix....

    Chevy used to use the M-22 Rock Crusher for their stout motors. I like the Super T-10 myself. I have used the Richmond 6 speed, but they aren't real great for drag strip application.

    its a daily driver that currently has a t400 but i want a manual so i dont top out at 110, and can maybe cruise down the highway engine is a 454 mark IV
