Transmission Fluid On The U-Joint
Have a little transmission fluid dripping from the u-joint, behind the TH400 tranny. The yoke out of the tranny is dry, so I know that seal is not leaking. Can this fluid be somehow coming through the yoke?Leo Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the RODS that take your breath away.

Thanks, Denny. I'll take it apart and take a closer look. The manual shows an o-ring on the trans output shaft, just forward of the spline. Wondering if that is to seal the fluid from the yoke. Guess I should see that when I remove the drive shaft.Leo Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the RODS that take your breath away.

When there over filled they can leak trans fluid out the vent hole of the yoke .

My wife is always always kind enough to point out oil spots on our expensive concrete drive (as though I didn't know they were there), so I appreciate your help in the prevention of hostility at my house.
