    Smile 700r4 pressure gauge

Is it critical to check the 700r4 internal pressure... from reading some of the input on the forum, regarding how the tranny feels when shifting, and the basic set up for the tension in the tv cable, my guess is that it is not necessary to check the pressure - but obviously better to do so. Is this something I can do, without a tranny shop? where does one get such a gauge? thanks

if you are not real comfortable doing it do take it to a trans shop. These transmisions are real easy to ruin.....
