Well little update the pump i purchased first was for a 70 and the stator is larger . Without wanting to change out front drum i went on a ebay search and finally found a 67 thru 69 front trans pump for the C4 from a place in Oregon . Came in yesterday with those little rings on it thank goodness. Since i did snap one in half trying to get it off the 70 pump . The 70 pump stator is about .020 or .030 bigger without measuring . Funny on how when you finally jump in working on something this happens and sets you back over 4 weeks . The urge to get it going and move it on to get the FB in the garage hopefully will continue more in work and not just mind .
