Trans cooler lines/ports Chevy
Just a quick queston. I have a small block 350 w/ a Th-350c trans. Does anyone know if the ports on the trans for the cooler lines correspond w/ the radiator ports? In other words does the line from the top port on the trans go to the top port on the radiator? Info would be much appreciated,
Mike

Well, as far as I know, which ain't that far
it goes top to top and bottom to bottom. At least thats the way all of mine have been set up and that is how I've always put them back together and none of them have burnt up yet
If you run a separate cooler I've heard that you should put it in the return side of system as the in line to rad cooler would actually heat fluid up again cancelling out the effectivness of the remote cooler. I think
I'm sure that some one can explain it clearer but this is how I understand it to work.

Thats the way it looks like it should work to me from what I can tell by looking at the Pontiac hard lines I have. They don't really fit to well though w/ the chevy drive train, so it's a little hard to tell.

The bottom port on the trans is pressure, so the trans fluid would flow up through the radiator(from the factory at least). Seems to make sense since the engine coolant does the same.
