    torque converters mostly make noise when under load in drive or reverse.If you put the car in drive 3 and it still makes noise pull it down to drive 2. If the noice increases its the pump 700s boost pressure in drive 2. If its the punp you will have to cange the converter anyway its full of metal.

    Thanks guys. That's what I thought. Looks like I'm tearing down this thing here soon. Oh well. Alows me to put my motor in any clean up and FIX things. Interesting how people do work.

    How difficult is it to replace or rebuild the pump in the transmission ?
