the engine is a 3.0 V6, I'm guessing, and they come with AXOD trans, which are notoriouse for going out, some start slipping, some stop shifting but they all go out eventully. I put a AXOD into a '97 Windstar with 2 other guys, hard job, drop the cradle, and pull trans out of cradle from the top, put everything back, got it all togther, then come to find out, the used trans we put in, was also bad, so we had to do it all over again.
