    Change my 3 on the tree to 4 on the floor????

     



    Is it possible to change my 3 on the tree to 4 on the floor in my 53 plymouth? what 4 speed tranny can i use with my flathead six? anything i should do to the rear???

    any and all info would be great.

    You may need to change the clutch as the spline on the disc may not match the new trans. I don't know that you would have to do anything to the rear your not adding any HP. The drive shaft yoke may need changing as well as the length. Which trans ??? I'm not a Mopar guy. BUT there are plenty of them on here just hang in there.

    the rear could be a torque tube, in that case, you would need a new 1.
