Youther,
First, its not too late...get that transmission fixed and run for the hills!
Just kidding, congrats on getting married.
As for the tranny, if the bottom pan is leaking, your "out of business" tranny guy could have simply over-tightened your pan gasket causing it to leak after a few miles.
I would suggest draining the tranny and inspecting the fluid. If it looks clear of contaminants, then continue by removing the pan carefully so as to find where the gasket failed. Inspect the mounting flange so as to determine if the pan is bent or if they simply over-tightened the gasket.
If all is good, replace the gasket and refill with fluid and then check for leaks. You may have to straighten the pan flange or replace the pan all together to correct the issue. Hopefully this will resolve the issue and have you back on the road ready for the big day!
Best regards!

also if it is leaking front right side at or around the pan. check to see if the dipstick tube is seated in the tranny, where its bolted down to the block may not be anymore, if youve lost that large amount of fluid. it could of rattled out or you might have pulled it out when checking you tranny fluid.
Live everyday like it were your last, someday it will be.

Update
UPDATE........
I looked at the tranny today and it looked like it was around the pan area and maybe the gasket was leaking, but then I looked at the dipstick and it felt loose. So I wasn't really sure so I took it to a shop. They put it up on a rack let it run for about 5-10 minutes and wouldn't you know it......no leak. So the guy decided that they would let it sit overnight and see if it leaked overnight. Turned the car off and looked under the car and sure enough the leak was back. Left the car off, and lifted it back up in the air. At first glance it looked like it was coming straight from the gasket, but then the guy got out his handy little mirror and looked at the dipstick and it was pouring out from there. So they are going to put a new o-ring and some silicone around it and I'm picking it up tomorrow.
cffisher...good guess, although it's not a chrome one....LOL!
It will be ready for the big day, and knowing my luck the weather will be terrible, and I'll just end up leaving it in the garage.....LOL!
THANKS for the help as usuall guys!!!!!!Go Hokies!!!!!! ACC CHAMPS '04,'07,'08
