Hi canadianal, It's a 5 speed told from an early 90s c30. Not been to look at it yet as it is about 150mls from me so wanted to be sure it was worth the trip by checking with a few people first. I like the long shifter and it's in the right place, I'm having a new floor fabricated anyway so that will be done after drivetrain has been fitted and therefore shaped to fit.Again, been told and read on various Caddy websites that these engines work best and live longer with tall gears numerically 3.00 or less.As you know they are not really a 'revvy' engine and their torque figures do the job. Wish there was a Caddy section on the engine forum but I guess not mainstream enough to get much interest. Must admit I've never run one in a hotrod before but luvit for all the good points it has as I'm sure you do.
Thanks for your reply
