    Smile transmission

Have a 1980 truck, 6 cyl, 250 ci with 48,000 actual miles. The 6 cyl is a cripple and both the engine and transmission need rebuilding. I plan to replace with a 307 ci that has a blown transmission attached. My question is will the transmission on the 250 ci work with the 307 engine? Are there internal differences between the 6 cyl trans. and the 307 trans. that I need to be aware of? Thanks for any advice.

Would you be willing to sell any parts like the heads or anything from that blown 250? I have a Chevy 250 block and that is it. I had a head for it that was supposed to be brought to my house but never ended up here and is gone now.
Let me know and if yes then how much?
    Thanks a lot man.

    To FMXhellraiser -
Yes - I will sell the 6 cyl, 250 cid as a package - I don't want to parcel it out. However, I may keep the transmission if it will work with my 307. BTW, the 250 ci is not blown but needs work , probably on the head.
