    Question torque specs on tranny

     



    looking for the torque specs for the tranny pan on a c-6 ford tranny. the only thing i do know is 12 to 16 ft pounds like the 68 shop mananel said is WRONG!! any help would bve greatful

    Well, it is 12-16 ft-lbs. However, I just snug mine up without overtightening them.

    Why do you say their wrong? seems to me that 16ft-lbs should be fine. Did you break a bellhousing or something?
