    Question Installing a turbo 350 to a 348?

    Hello,

I have a 1959 Chevy Impala im building and was wondering if anyone knew what I would have to do to install a Turbo 350 or 400 tranny on my Bigblock 348? I was wondering what parts I would need to do for the conversion. The car came with a Cast iorn powerglide and its very exspensive to have rebuilt and is hard to get parts for and that is why I want to convert it to a 350/400 tranny. Any help would greatly be appreciated thank you.

    Jesse

I used to switch between 409s (same type engines as 348s) and a solid lifter 327, in my '62 Biscayne (same chassis). I used the same flywheel, bellhousing, and starter for both.

    I think it's a bolt on.

Cool thanks guys!!! I really appreciate the feed back. So I should use flex plate/ torque converter/starter for the turbo 350?
