Question 700R4 Swap Steering Column Problem

Question: I am putting a 700R4 transmission into a 1970 Buick GS 455. It has a column shift. Any ideas of how to modify the column to shift 4 gears or if I can swap in a column from a different car that has the indicator on the column. I had thought of something like an 86-87 Regal T-Type or late 80's Caprice/Impala, but can't remember where the indicator is located and, don't know if they are a direct swap.

    Thanks for your help!!

Hey Buddy ! ! try this web site www.transmissioncenter.net/SwapInformation.htm

Some places sell a dash insert to just change the numbering on your column shift Have fun Homer
