    Angry Serious Transmission Problem

Out of nowhere, my car has lost its ability to shift into 3rd gear. It is an automatic '69 Mustang and suddenly, the Drive gear only goes to first, so I had drive it in 2nd. It is also suddebly running very rough. Does anyone have any theories? I checked the trannie fluid and it is OK.

Check to see if your blowing smoke out the back of the car, if it is, you may have a ruptured vacume modulator and could be sucking ATF into your motor. As a confirmation just pull the rubber connection hose between the line and moulator off, and if it's full of fluid. Replace the modulator.
