Aluminum necessary?? No. If you were a lower weight fanatic, maybe, but I'd bet 99% of the rods out there have good old steel. Any qualified driveline shop should be able to make up the Chev/Ford combo in their sleep since it's so common.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
