Just so i understand - not highjacking here i don't think - the '36 wide5 hub is different from the '37 and up wide5 hub? and they can't interchange? if you have a '36hub it won't go on a '37 spindle? Is that right? Is there a way to tell if you are looking at a '36 hub?
I've been gathering wide5 stuff and i'm mating them to buick drums and don't want to go thru all that work and have a front hub i can't use.
Thanks, oj
Sorry I didn't answer sooner oj, I was away from the comp for a few days.

The '36 hub has a different offset to the inside (close to an inch), so the problem becomes not fully seating before the drum hits the backing plate.
