Update: it is a solid axle with discs. Its sort of a triangulated 4bar (two lower trailing arms, with the bosses cast on top on an angle) also has air bags mounted in front of the axle on the lower arms. tag off the cover reads S407F at the top and bottom 3L27N889H21.
