Spring behind axle
I was looking through some magazines and noticed every car with a traverse leaf front end has shock absorbers on them. This might seem like a dumb question but my set up doesn't have any shock mounts. Do you need them, it makes sense that you do?I noticed Speedway has shackle mounts with an extra hole for a shock.
Thanks,
Sean.

Your instincts are correct. The purpose of a shock absorber is to dampen ocillations, in this case the axle moving up and down (or more correctly the chassis moving in relation to the axle). Without shocks you run the risk of loss of control if severe "bouncing" were induced by a jolt, say from a drainage swale in the road that you hit at speed.

Thanks, it didn't seem right without them.
