    Is this unsafe?

I bought a mmll crossmember and when it got here I found this. The upper part where the a-arm goes not to bad but, the lower part scares me. Can I
make this work by running some weld over the pitting or maybe gussets to make it stronger? Thanks.
I hope the pix show up a couple of post down.

I'd look, but I really don't want to sign up with msn com to do so. If you'll post a photo in the thread, I'll take a look.

I wouldn't worry too much about the pitting, other than you may need to arc weld it with 6011 rod to burn through the rust. Hank

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure if I needed to cut out the bad part and replace the metal or just weld over the pits or if it is even worth fixing.
