    Suicide front suspension

All information I've been able to find on suicide front suspensions is for t-buckets. Is it the same basic idea for an early 30's chevy? Does anyone know any good resorces for this?
    Thanx,
    Chris

A straight-axle front end is a straight-axle front end. You might want to look at:

    http://www.speedwaymotors.com

    or:
    http://www.tperformance.com

    or:
MAS (can't find a website, look in any issue of any hot rod magazine for their tiny little ad towards the back)

Generally, the only difference is that early Chevys used two leaf springs running parellel to each frame rail, and Ford used one spring mounted across the frame.

Consequently Chevys didn't need radius rods as the springs, themselves, acted as locators. Problem is, by having these springs mounted that way, they stick out pretty far in front of the axle centerline, whereas the Fords need nothing in front of the axle centerline. But, there have been some nice looking rods built over the years using the Chevy type system. Gassers used this sort of setup a lot, too.
