    M2 IFS spring seating problem

As shown in the picture, I put in my coils on my mustang II IFS and for some reason didn't notice until after that the bottoms weren't seated on the lower control arm in the contours like they should be. The rear of the spring is stuck over the edge slightly and hence the front is caught up above that lip.
I've tried removing the shock and putting a compressor in there again, but I can't seem to compress it far enough to get all the pressure off the bottom so I can pry it up. I got pretty close but not quite enough.

Has anyone had this problem? I REALLY don't want to disassemble the whole thing again as I HATE using spring compressors.
