    M2 IFS spring seating problem

As shown in the picture, I put in my coils on my mustang II IFS and for some reason didn't notice until after that the bottoms weren't seated on the lower control arm in the contours like they should be. The rear of the spring is stuck over the edge slightly and hence the front is caught up above that lip.
I've tried removing the shock and putting a compressor in there again, but I can't seem to compress it far enough to get all the pressure off the bottom so I can pry it up. I got pretty close but not quite enough.

Has anyone had this problem? I REALLY don't want to disassemble the whole thing again as I HATE using spring compressors.

You might as well take it loose and get it right. That's called getting experience. just kidding. thats a lot of wt. on those springs, if the compressor won't do it then i believe you gonna have to take it loose. if you can get to the end of the spring then you might be able to take a hammer and punch and knock it around a little.

My springs were out of wack when I put them in untill I had the car together and driving. They seated in themselfs, the stock pinto springs are almost too stiff if you can believe that. As long as your lower A arms are setting level when done I think they can right themselves.

I guess I'll give it a couple cruises and hope they settle in on a big bump, but if not I'll have to bite the bullet and take them out.
    thanks
