Don't cut the springs. The car is too heavy and springs too old. Just suck it up and fork out some money. You will be happier in the end if you go this route. I heard on the show "Trucks" they made newer kinds for cars and trucks with more horsepower so you can use them at the strip without worrying to bust a bag.
