Lower shock bracket axel tube vs lower spring plate

Sorry to keep treading on the same subject. I was curious
Is there a disadvantage or an advantage between putting the lower shock bracket on the axel tube or on the lower spring plate? Just curious.

    Thanks

If you weld the bracket to the spring plate, you won't take a chance on warping the axle tube.

I could understand that. Speaking of warping axel tubes I sure hope when I welded on the spring perches I hope I never got it to hot. I welded in short spurts to keep that from happening.
