I think that you are on the right track in lifting the nose back up.
I don't have any suggestions to add, the above like is a good one, I believe. What I am looking for is your chassis set-up. I have an original 38 2-door touring and am in the planning stages. Just looking around to see what works for other and perhaps get a different perspective.
