Matt,
Watch out breathing the dust inside those old drums. The old cars had asbestos in the brake linings. I would wear a respirator while taking it apart. When the drum is off, spray off the brake dust with a little spray of water. Then sweep, bag, (plastic with tie) and dispose of the dust. No sense burning out your lungs like most of us old timers have already done.
