my 79 camaro ignition dies... help
pleaswe help my 79 camaro z i recently bought this camaro took it out for a drive and while i was waiting for the lights to change the ignition just cut off on me and the engine shut off. it felt like the fuels were not delivering cuz i saw the rpm read 5-7 and all of a sudden went down and up alil and shut off.well it's an automatic with fuel system --
- 8 an braided stainless steel lines there and return.
- mallory fuel regulator
- 140 gph fuel pump with filter in front of it
- factory q-jet, with no choke though I still have the hot air and electric choke parts
- filter on the q-jet as well
- new intake tubing put in, 1/2 pick ups
- kill switch for pump in cabin
waht can the reasons be when i started it back up it took me like 2 minutes the engine would idle but i felt there was sudden loss of fuel delivery and the ignition would shut off well through this time my tank was half full and pump seemed to be working cuz i heard the sound... plz help any advice will b appreciated... or are all carburators like thisneed to b taught
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
