few quick falcon questions
1st, is the rear end in my ford Falcon a 8" or 9"?
2nd, I know that the '67 Falcon had a 289 V8 option, if I at 1 time found a 289 V8, how hard would it be? I'm pretty shure the trans will bolt up but unshure about mounting.
3rd, how do you ajust the tension on the Ebrake? my cable got a little streached over the years and needs to be taken in for it to pass NYS inspection although, it does function but not very well. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

About all you would need is the 289's flexplate, exhaust and 67-69 Falcon/mustang 289 motor mounts. Then it should bolt in. As I recall the six and the 289 have the same bolt pattern on the bellhousing.Duane S

Really the 289 V8 idea was really just a curosity. I do know the e brake cable starts to tighten up near the end of it's travle, the wheels do lock up but only after a fashion, I checked the cable and it does seem to have slack when engaged. I do think that the master cyl is bad, I checked the rubber and it looked good, there is 1 line that's questionable and I'm gonna have my dad check it. I do have another question, I noticed that the line that goes across the rear end had been replaced, due to breakage, I know that because the remains of the old are still there, if the person who replaced the line didn't bleed the system back out could it leed to a no pedal feel? I know it can leed to a soft pedal. Should I bleed the system out to see if I get pedal feel back? And braking power of course. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

I got a few new pics of the Falcon, here's the interior, pretty good, only wear is on the driver side bottom and it's not bad at all, the dash pad is badly cracked over the speaker grill but I'm not worried. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
