I had the same problem. A old style aircleaner would not fit my 3 duece manifold. The back would hit the distributor and I was told to use PVC. It worked but didn't look good so I got some stainless pipe that was the same diamater as the carb and raised my aircleaner up to the height I wanted it and it worked great and looks good.
