I took a LT1 out of a 1993 trans am and used the motor and 700R4 trans. put a pos. track in the stock S10 DIF. (it had a 410 grar in it) and its been doing fine. the trans is the weak link. thats with everything being stock. the only reason i used the 700r4 was for the overdrive. other wise i would have used a 350 or 400. thats a small dif to so if you going to race it youll need to go with the 9'' ford or the 12 bolt chev. dif.
