Hey thanks there techinspector1 you proved to me your never to old to learn something new I never knew about the cash or finance laws that good to know. .Just a second I don,t know If that good or not. lt1s10, john is right. Go to the law library at a local university or some other place where you can look it up and read it for yourself. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE WHO TELLS YOU ANYTHING ABOUT THE LAW UNTIL YOU READ IT FOR YOURSELF IN BLACK AND WHITE.
When I first moved to Arizona, I was interested in buying and selling cars on a casual basis, you know, run ads from home and sell a car on the weekend kind of thing. Well, everyone and I mean EVERYONE that I talked with about this said that you can only sell 3 cars per year without a dealer's license and that a dealer's license was a hassle to get ($$, commercial property, etc.), so I put it on hold and did other things in the following few years. It was not until I got a ticket for crossing a gore area on a freeway off-ramp that I got fired-up enough to read the law myself. I discovered that because I had reduced my speed and had shown extreme care in the crossing of the double white line, that I was not guilty and I got the case thrown out of court on my own, without a lawyer. WOW, was the cop red-faced over losing!!!!!! Anyway, having learned that people do indeed make mistakes in interpreting the law, I proceeded to investigate the 3 cars per year law. To my surprise, I found out by reading the law myself, any private Arizona citizen can sell as many cars per year as he/she wants to for cash, but if a citizen is going to sell the car AND FINANCE IT to the buyer, he/she is limited to 3 cars FINANCED per year and selling as many as you want to for cash. So you see, I labored under mis-information for years. I strongly urge you to find this door handle law in black and white and read it for yourself. I think you'll find that it says something completely different than what everyone is telling you.
There are door releases available that will operate with just passing a magnet over a sensor on the car as well as other cool devices, so I'm sure there is a loophole there somewhere.

Seems like it would be easier and more cost effective to use a current front wheel drive v/6 setup. Just have to fab up a cradle to hold it place. There are a lot of v/6 turbo kits available. Maybe a twin turbo set up? With this you'd get independent suspension, disc brakes. Great for the handling and stopping power. Good luck>

hmmmmm the mid engine idea would be kewl. Thanks for getting me thinking about something else to build, Richard!!! Tee Hee Hee. The 500 Caddy would be kewl, or maybe adapt a new Northstar engine to it??? Dang it, now where is my nephew with the cad-cam software in his computer??? Maybe a stretched deuce roadster?? Hey, how about a chopped and dropped mid engine mini-van?? Gotta think about this some!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

its all about weight distribution the v6 would not have the power or weight to lift the front end and keep it where the big monster 455 or 500 would did you not watch monster garage

How about a Mid-engined chopped 2 door PT Cruiser RWD conversion?? And install a 110 volt AC converted to 12 volt DC sewin' machine in the front just fer "effect"!!!

no not realy they took a ambulance about a 78 or 80 ford van and took the stock motor shoved it to the back cource they striped it to the bare bone shell it was really cool to watch this ambulance go down the road with the front end up in the airOriginally posted by lt1s10

I guess I would not be interested in doing wheels up launches, spent too much time at the drags trying to hook the car and control the lift on the front. I always considered the best hook to be just seeing a bit of daylight under the fronts, getting the car to hook straight and hard. The wheels up stuff to me is motion in the wrong direction, up instead of forward. When the wheels got too high, the 60 foot times suffered, and of course the ET as well.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

ive done just about everything you can do with a car (a lot of round tracking) but pulling the wheels off the ground just wont one of them. damet! i just found out that i might have missed my calling, o well ive allways been a day late and a doller short. i didnt like all those bent up oil pans.Originally posted by Streets
