    Question Oil Pan ?

Will a drivers side, early model, oil pan from any 283-350 small block chevy oil pan fit a 400 small block?

Why sure it will ............... Just don't get the driver side and passenger sides mixed up. That happened to me once. I think it throws the steering geometry off.

Yes the only difference is the thick or thin front oil pan rubber seal.

The 400 was a seventies engine. The driver side dip stick was run run from the 50's through the seventies. I am no sure the year of the right side change dip stick , but you should be fine.
