40 Buick to 78 Buick frame

Hi. Brand new and lots of questions.
Just got a 40 Buick 4 door and am thinking of using a frame, engine-- turbo V6-- auto trans, rear end, suspension etc from a 78 Buick Regal I have. Floor in the 40 needs work anyways so that should be workable. Will be able to make new body mounts.
Any one gone this way b4 or any ideas?
    Thanks in advance. Rich

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
