Danged, STREETS, you are probablly right. I remember some makes used that and some used direct manifold vacuum where you could stop the wipers just by hitting the accelerator.
Been exactly 40 years since I've owned a Stovebolt six so my memory is foggy. Heck, it's foggy most the time anyway.
