    What's it worth?

I got the first set of 14.5-16 M&H cheaters to mount on my 6 pin 11x16 Halibrand Sprints, and now I'm curious about something. The old tires are 1100-16 Firestone dirt track tires. They are used, there is some cracking where the sidewall meets the tread (not obvious when mounted and inflated), but in acceptable shape for display. Anyone have an idea what they're worth? Finding someone to even dismount tires from Magnesium wheels is nearly impossible around here, so I'm kinda torn. Do I cut the tires off and save a pair of nearly irreplaceable wheels, or take the chance to remove the tires and hope someone doesn't break a wheel? Since the rear axles and front hubs are machined for knockoffs only, if one breaks, I've got problems.

I don't have to worry about wearing them out any time soon, this is a restoration that will be mostly shown. Every shop I speak to says no as soon as I mention magnesium Halibrand. They seem to think if they broke one, it would break THEM trying to replace it. Probably would.........
