i use hammerite on my cars.. it is great paint...so long as you make sure the area youre painting is clean,and as rust/dust free as possible itll be fine...
the stuff loses its shine eventually...but is great for rust prevention..
from experience the 'hammered finish' paint is a lil more resilient than the 'smooth-rite'...jus seems tougher to me...dont kno why... i guess theyd have a site er something... should check it out...
plus that stuff can be sprayed too... think the tins have spray mix details on them...neat finish.
