Eaton Posi vs Auburn Pro Cone?

Okay, here's the question. I have many choices for my rearend needs but I have narrowed it down to two...or so I think. Either the Eaton clutch Posi, or the Auburn Pro Series cone setup. I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions or experience with either of these. It will be in a Ford 9 inch under the rear of my 67 Camaro. I plan to put blown power to it and would like it to see lots of cruisin' and turning, street and some strip to see what it can do. I want turning but I also want solid power to be transmitted to both wheels. I mean, hey, that's just way cooler right?? Wondering if there are any other choices I should look at, or which one is better to use.

Your asking a lot out of this posi. Street, Crusin, and strip? In that case i would lean towards the Eaton. I think their rated at more torque, and they do(or used to) have a warentee. However, if it was me, i would bolt a ARB air locker in there. That way, you can open it up for street/crusin use and save tires and fuel. But thats me.

Well, the last dealer I spoke with said that Eaton doesn't offer a warranty on their posi's now. But for the most part, the unit will be seeing street and cruisin use. The strip I would hardly put the car to. Maybe once a year or something if that. I want a posi that locks up solid on the straight to keep the wheels planted and doesn't chirp around the corners that will stand up to some abuse and work great. Was wondering if anyone had any experience with either of them or others. The Auburn is apparently 100 dollars cheaper and if I did break it I would have another one on my doorstep within 12 hours free of charge. I am leaning that way. Just asking though....

Then go with the auburn. What have you got to lose, other than a un-warenteed Posi?
