I have a 1950 GMC 1 ton that still has the original front suspension and brakes that I would like to upgrade particularly the brakes. I want to retain the 1 ton rating and the 8 lug wheels but do not find any after market items that would work. What are the options? Will I need to replace the front clip and if so has anyone done one that was similar?
